Three Days in a Row...

It’s very quiet in my house right now. All I can hear are the fans blowing and my fingers tapping the keyboard. Today, the proof for my 3rd book arrived and as I read the story AGAIN, but this time from the book in my hands, I could and can only think of TWO words. I wrote about one of these words when I first started this blog thing. Anyway, the 2 words are PATIENCE and FAITH. So when I started this Children’s Book Writer thing I dreamed of Book Fairs, Book Signings, Book Readings & Talks, Appearing on TV Shows about my Books and my Life as a Writer, National & International Book Sales, Literature Awards & Accolades, etc…And it is happening, at His pace not mine. I want the life I know my stories, my books can give me & mine, right now or let’s say as soon as possible→

Yes, it's the next day…and it's quiet in my house again. Nap time in this household is golden. Only things that can be heard this time are the fans blowing & the neighbor playing Sade’s Smooth Operator. Can’t you hear it? Music has this way of making me smile. Music is a part of every step of this life’s journey of mine. I was taught to love and appreciate music at a very early age. Well, it's not quiet here today. My daughter is talking about whatever comes to mind, as she blows bubbles in my living room.Her happiness today is contagious. We’re in leggings and T-shirts. I’m doing laundry and she is playing & asking me a thousand questions. She tells me that she is so happy chilling at home with her Mommy. She then says how much she loves Summer Break, and I realize I’m loving it too. I’m loving the afternoons/evenings at the lakefront or playground. I’m loving the sleeping-in time and waking up when we wake up. I’m loving the reading time with my daughter as she reads books about little girls dancing, like she does. I’m loving the laughter and smiles shared between my husband and I. Summertime is good for me and my writing. Something about the Summer that really motivates and inspires me. Maybe it’s the sun or the fact that everyone is outside. Maybe it’s that we don’t have to wear all the coats, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. Or maybe it's because it’s at Summertime when it gets warm, all the shades of people get warmer too. Here is to a warm Summer full of warm smiles, people, laughter and memories.
